(ad~gifted) Today has been wonderful. I met my dear friend for our first coffee in months. We met at our favourite restaurant and sat outside for 4 hours chatting and laughing. The threat of rain hang over us but never came to anything. As we drank our coffees looking out over the hazy loch, the past few months seemed to melt away. I’d forgotten that feeling of ‘coming home’ during lockdown. Whether I’ve been away for 4 hours or 4 weeks, that feeling of opening the front door and putting the kettle on the aga took on a whole new significance today.
