Inspiring Farmhouse Style Design Ideas
My favorite part of design is all of the details. From what style millwork to use, down to “should I have buttons on our dining room chairs,” I loved it all. I was gifted with an eye for it, as well as an eye for color. I’m not so good at knowing what direction I’m driving or doing math in my head or fixing things.

I love that we all have unique gifts that make us, us. I hire others for the things I am not good at. If you are designing and building your forever home and do not have these gifts, I highly advise hiring a designer to help you. Even if it’s just for narrowing down choices or bouncing ideas off. You can be as involved as you like.

I feel like there’s sort of a belief that designers are only for wealthy people or million dollar homes. That is so not true. It may cost you $5000 or $10,000 but these are choices you cannot easily change. Build it into your total budget from the start. Cut something else. If this is your forever home, it is money so well spent, and it will affect your entire home.
