It’s a beautiful porch sitting morning here in North Carolina. Such a beautiful thing to have a cool breeze through the screens in the middle of July.

Yesterday, the last of the Leyland Cypress and the old Sweet Gum tree were removed. We live on old farmland and there was a lot of barbed wire in that old tree, it would be fun to know how that came to be. I find it sad removing trees and will surely miss their structure, architecture, shade, and habitat for the birds; I do love trees. Now there is a lot of open view and open ground in the landscape needing to be designed, that will be fun!

The hydrangea bushes are taking a beating with all the late afternoon sun they are now getting, so I am watering in the evenings and hoping for the best.🌸
