Did you guys catch my quick and easy front door makeover this wkd on stories?? Hahaha not! This was the project I almost threw the towel in and if I had made a recording of it, it would have been 72 hrs long 🤣 Anyways posting all the info here so it’s much smoother for you – so hit SAVE on this pic to keep all the info handy! – Door is fiberglass with vinyl panes – We applied @sherwinwilliams Extreme Bond Primer – this works great for the fiberglass door but not the vinyl panes!
– For the vinyl panes/trim surrounding windows we used a chalk paint base and then painted overtop with paint. Other suggestions we received were: Kilz or Zinsser bullseye primer.
– We removed the vinyl panes but heating up a knife w/ a butane torch to melt them and popped the grid off. – Paint is SW Quietude Resilience Satin finish which I’m obsessed with! .
