As someone who grew up in a “little house”, I agree. There was something unique about all that “forced” family time, and while I may have been annoyed as a teenager, I look back with very happy memories. Family dinner was at 6, with very few exceptions. We were considerate of one another regarding space and bathroom rotations. And we talked to each other. There was no disappearing to your wing of the house. The only video game system was in the living room. We talked about how our days were and we spent quality time together as a family. Yes, it would have been nice to have a little more space, but there’s no doubt in my mind we had more quality time together, and that’s priceless. 💙
