Does this picture tell you how much I like things to be symmetrical?? When designing and decorating, there are many things I like to be symmetrical, but somethings I like with odd numbers! Depends on the situation!
In this case since their are double doors, with matching wreaths, the pots and lanterns needed to be the same on both sides, but the rugs off set the symmetry by creating an odd number of things on the porch! Another thing I love about this is that my builder and I worked really hard to get things lined up, beam is centered with lights, table, and doors!
