Is it strange that my table is still set for the Easter gathering that never happened? Yes? Well okay then. I’m going to leave it there even longer 🤣 It’s now my Mother’s Day tablescape. Ta-da! 🤗😉 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
My boys were doing a lot of whispering today (about Mother’s Day I think 🥰) And during quiet time, I heard the four year old crying in his room. When I went to check on him, he quickly shoved a piece of paper under his bed. I asked him what was wrong, and he said he messed something up that I’m not allowed to see. I squeezed him tight and told him that I would love anything he made for me. But his sobs got louder, huge tears streaming down his face. So I paused, and tried again, this time saying, “you were working really hard on that, and now it’s not how you want it. That’s so frustrating.” He nodded, and the sobs stopped. Amazing what empathy can do 💙 And I can relate so much to his feelings! Don’t ask my husband how many times we’ve worked hard on something only to not like how it turned out 😳 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
