Inspiring American Farmhouse Style Ideas
We were up and out early today. We picked up pool chemicals, made a quick grocery run, then Brian added the chemicals to the pool, while I wiped off all the groceries and put them away. Then we headed out again to the garden center where we bought the rest of the annuals and picked up a few more perennials because I just can’t stop. We were home again by 10:30 am. Brian watered the grass seed while I planted the wagon, wheelbarrow, mailbox, and the flower box on the shed. We cooked out for lunch and had burgers and corn-on-the-cob before relaxing outside with the dogs. After that, the neighbors we share the stone wall with came over and we trimmed the dead branches off the apple trees, which we then used to have a fire. There is nothing like the smell of applewood. Another neighbor stopped by with her dog and a friend, and we visited around the fire. It has been a really good day. Now we’re settling in for the night with some light food and a couple of episodes of The Blacklist. #theresnoplacelikehome .
