Stunning American Farmhouse Style Ideas
One of my favorite features in our home is our open staircase. The farmhouse staircase I grew up with was my inspiration for the design of it—chunky newel posts, warm wood that coordinates with the floor, wood treads. I chose metal balusters to achieve a lighter, airier look than wood and added ornament to every third versus every other baluster to keep it less decorative. All of these detail decisions are what gives a home it’s personality and character and makes it “your” home.
