So, I’m 40 today, friends. Some of you probably feel like that’s old. Some of you probably feel likes that’s young. And some of you, those of you that are right here with me this year, probably feel like that’s just right. Between you and me, I have a lot of mixed feelings about it. Most people have a 40th bucket list and I had one when I was 37. But with Covid, homeschool and the farm, I haven’t made any of them. So instead of all the dreams I had at 37 about what and who I would be at 40, this January, I promised myself that I would be more true to myself as a person – in my work, in my marriage and as a mother. I would do the things that felt truly like me and less about who I thought I should be. I’m a work in progress, always have been and probably always will be. For a large portion of my life, I probably thought that was a negative. But at 40, I can say that’s one of the truly beautiful things about life. You can always change, you can always grow and you can always find new pieces of yourself to discover. #happybirthdaytome #thisis40
